The horoscope edition
On July 30th, 1960, a local newspaper published their daily horoscopes, a popular trend among magazines and other forms of media alike. A horoscope is the position of the sun, moon, and planets at the time of a person’s birth and how those positions effect people differently. These positions can also determine the kind of a day one is going to have or the kind of advice each person of each sign should follow.
The following pictures contain these horoscopes as altered by the subjects of each sign. The alternations imply the control they have over their own day - rather than listening to their daily horoscope. The subjects who have chosen to cross out their sign do not rely on astrology at all. Everyone captured is the sign as according to the newspaper clipping attached. Quotes regarding what was said about the assignment were captured and are used as captions.
